It’s been awhile. This is the second day of the festival.
Saturday, March 16th. The event started at 12 PM and ended at midnight. It was a crazy day! By the time we woke up at 10 AM, it was already time to get ready to head over to downtown. The line to get in wasn’t as bad as the first day.. it only took ten minutes!
It was noon, the sun was beaming down on us and everyone was hyped up. It was definitely going to be a good day. My friends I did not really settle down at any specific stage, we were just wondering around aimlessly. Jumping around here and there until the DJs we wanted to see were on.
First stop… the Europe Stage! We got to see Chuckie and the special guest was Lil Jon! We stayed through his set until Bingo Players were up.
And of course, everyone had to stay for Rattle!
The set Bingo Players did was definitely one of my favorites during this festival. After Bingo Players’ set finished up, we left to go to the Main Stage to see Hardwell, Knife Party and Kaskade!
It was so packed by the time we got there so we hung around the outside of the crowd before moving in.
Hardwell opened his set at the Main Stage with Spaceman.
When Hardwell finally got it at 7, it was really exciting. The sun was starting to set, the crazy music was beginning to kick in and we were able to see everyone’s eyes light up in awe. Party doesn’t start til it gets dark!
Next up…. Knife Party!!!
Knife Party‘s infamous song, Internet Friends! Please fastforward to 1:44 and wait for that drop!
The crowd went insane when Internet Friends started playing, everyone was holding onto each other and jumping to the beat. The next DJ that got on was Kaskade.
Kaskade opened his set with Sander Van Doorn’s Joyenergizer
After Kaskade’s set was over, Deadmau5 and Benny Benassi were performing at the same time but at different stages. Deadmau5 at Main and Benassi at Europe. At that moment, it seemed like picking one DJ was the hardest decision ever. But Benassi won us over!
I would have to say out of the three days and nights at Ultra, the second day was definitely the best. A lot of the DJs I enjoyed listening to had their sets on the second day and that allowed my friends and I have to even more fun because all the songs just kept coming on right after another! The lineup was so good to the point I could’ve just left Ultra, not attend the third day and fly back home AND still be happy.
The third day will be posted shortly!
